Yes, you can still receive services during your cycle. Just wear a tampon or menstrual cup to your appointment. Keep in mind that skin can be slightly more sensitive during this time.
Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but most clients find that discomfort decreases over time with regular appointments. I always work quickly and carefully to make the service as comfortable as possible.
Certain medications and skincare products can make the skin more sensitive. If you are using retinol, tretinoin, Accutane, or strong exfoliating products, please let me know before booking so we can determine the safest option.
Yes! Sugaring in particular is often a great option for sensitive skin because it adheres more to the hair than the skin.
For the first 24 hours, avoid:
• Hot baths or saunas
• Heavy sweating or intense workouts
• Swimming pools or hot tubs
• Tight clothing on the treated area
• Anything that causes extra sweating or friction
This helps prevent irritation and ingrown hairs.
Wait 48 hours after your appointment, then begin gentle exfoliation 2–3 times per week to help prevent ingrown hairs.
Most clients schedule appointments every 4–6 weeks to maintain smooth results and keep hair growth consistent.
Sugaring uses a paste made of sugar, lemon, and water and is often gentler on the skin. Waxing uses a professional wax formula designed to remove hair quickly and effectively. Both methods provide smooth, long-lasting results.
